The Vice President of India, Hon'ble Jagdeep Dhankhar visited Mahabodhi Mahavihara Temple on 7th April, 2024 along with His wife Hon'ble Dr. (Smt.) Sudesh Dhankhar. On their visit to the Holy Temple, they also did parikrama and made offerings at the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Mahabodhi Temple. They evinced keen interest in the art and architecture of the holy Temple and also praised the upkeep of the Temple premises. Hon'ble Vice President was accompanied by Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, Mr. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.

Hon'ble Vice President made the following observation in the visitor's book-

"Truly blessed to have visited the sacred Maha Bodhi Temple, a profound symbol of Enlightenment and Peace. This sublime site resonates with the timeless wisdom and profound teachings of Lord Buddha.

My gratitude to the custodians of the Temple and to the community of Bodh Gaya for their unwavering dedication in preserving this invaluable heritage of Bharat.

May the light of Enlightenment continue to guide humanity towards harmony and compassion."
