The President of India, Hon'ble Draupadi Murmu visited Mahabodhi Mahavihara on 20th October, 2023 and offered flowers, milk-rice, and robes to the Buddha statue in the sanctum sanctorum amidst the chanting of prayers by the monks. She was offered souvenirs and publistions of Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee. She did customary parikrama (circumambulation) of the Mahabodhi Temple, Hon'ble President was accompanied by Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, Mr. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and the First Lady of Bihar, Smt. Anangha.
