Ratanaghara, also known as the House of Jewels, is one of the significant locations within the Mahabodhi Temple complex in Bodh Gaya, India. It is a revered site where the Buddha is said to have spent the fourth week after His Enlightenment, deep in meditation and contemplation. The name "Ratanaghara" reflects the profound spiritual insights, or "jewels," that the Buddha gained during this period Buddha meditated here, reflecting on the patthana or the Law of Dependent origination. A ray of Five colours was said to have emanated from His body during that period and the Buddhists have designed their flag based on these colours.
